Rita Andino wrote The Dead Do Not Cry to please friends, friends of friends, and people in general.

Andino was born in Cuba and left her native country for political reasons in 1964. She wrote her book in the first-person and gives interesting details about growing up in a communist country, her studies, trips, loves and soap opera type of life after leaving her country of origin.

The author lived in New York City for more than three decades and married Frank, a New Yorker who is now deceased.

Rita Andino is an active member of Who's Who and resides in Miami Beach, Florida.
