One morning Farmer John said to his wife, Maure en. There is a bus load of children coming from the school today to see the farm.
So Maureen said Id better make some biscuits and lemonade then.
When the bus comes all the children tumble out and the teacher says Say good morning to Farmer John.
And Farmer Jhon says, good morning children shall we go and see the hens, and chickens?
Farmer John says to the children will you go and look in the nest boxes and see if the hens have laid any eggs.
The children love doing this and find lots of eggs.
Walking through the farmyard the childrensee farmer Johns dog and a little boy says, we have a dog called Bruno, do you take your doggie for walks?
Farmer John sa ys No, but thre is Sheps friend Mouser with her kittens.
Farmer John says Shep is a working dog and his job is to bring in the cows for milking, and he also rounds up the sheep when it is time to clip there w away to be madWeoolly coats which go away to be made into clothes.
The remainder of the book continues to teach children about the farm.
