Ma... I promise is a fantasy set in contemporary London. Jim, an overly pampered child, is an adorable, mischievous prankster with a talent for sketching. At the age of eight, he loses his adored mother under tragic circumstances, descends into misery, becomes rebellious, and refuses to believe that she has died.

His silent cries move celestial beings. Jim is whisked away by his guardian angel and taken to other worlds where he experiences different energies, gains understanding, and meets various beings. As Jim grows spiritually, he creates unique works of art.

His guardian angel promises to fulfill his every wish, but refuses when asked to take Jim to his mother’s world because it’s against the law of nature. The resulting dilemma appeals to young readers.
